Olivier Lambercy and Roger Gassert hosted the CYBATHLON Symposium 2020 on 17–18 September
The CYBATHLON Symposium 2020 focused on the topic of Promoting User-Driven Design and Evaluation of Assistive Technology. It brought together international researchers from different scientific backgrounds around the six disciplines of the CYBATHLON, featuring six keynote lectures by senior experts, as well as eight short presentations by junior talents.
A podium discussion – involving end-users as well as representatives from academia, clinics, industry, international organisations and politics – discussed ways to promote the provision and acceptance of assistive technologies. An interactive poster session via Twitter and zoom promoted exchange and discussions among the symposium participants and the broader community. The CYBATHLON Symposium 2020 served as first step into the new global format of the CYBATHLON.
