Julio Dueñas Salgado

Julio Duenas obtained his B.Sc. diploma in biomedical engineering from Universidad Iberoamericana Mexico in 2009. After completing his B.Sc. degree, he worked as research engineer at LNCO Laboratory at EPFL under the supervision of professor Olaf Blanke (EPFL, CH) and professor Roger Gassert (ETHZ, CH), where he was mainly involved in the development of fMRI compatible robotic devices.

Subsequently, he obtained his M.Sc. diploma in Robotics, Systems and Control from ETH Zurich in 2013. During his M.Sc. he specialized in neuroscience robotics, fMRI and real time fMRI, studying the neural correlates of passive forefinger kinematics.

In November 2014 Julio joined the Rehabilitation Engineering Lab as a PhD student, where his research interests are related to neurosciences and robotics, primarily investigating new possibilities in rehabilitation techniques for fine motor control after stroke, using fMRI compatible robotic devices, real time fMRI and TMS.
